-

ALBANY — Karen Rose Kelting, a loving daughter and sister, passed away on April 12, 2022, with her beloved family at her side.

Karen was born in 1963, the youngest child of six to Chester Kelting and the late Anne Kelting. She grew up in Farmingdale on Long Island, and graduated from Farmingdale High School in 1982.

She moved to Albany to attend Northeastern Association for the Blind. There she received clerical training and made Albany her home.

Karen was grateful for all the services available in Albany that enabled her to live an independent and joyful life. She attended GuildCare, loved the people, playing bingo, and especially crafts. At 2 Thurlow Terrace she had many friends that would let her know what colors her outfit was, and if it matched.

The family would like to thank Delmar Rehab. for looking after Karen.

Karen is survived by her father, Chester Kelting; her sisters, Luanne, Kathy, and Nancy; and her brother, Chet. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne; and her sister, Linda.

Karen was an awesome person who would end every conversation the same way "Yup. Yup. Yup."

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Those wishing to remember Karen in a special way may send contributions to foundations that continue to fight blindness, such as https:// donate.fightingblindness.org/ webdonation or https://www. bardetbiedl.org/donate.
