LOOKING BACK
Alexander “Sam” Aldrich seen outside Saugerties Lighthouse in New York. May 1967. He was known for his efforts to preserve lands for the public and social justice, having joined Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a 1965 Selma to Montgomery march. He died in 2017.
