GERARD WALLACE OF DELMAR

currently serves on the AARP NY’s executive council, a volunteer board that advocates on behalf of those 50 and older. He helps shape AARP’s strategic priorities, builds community partnerships and serves as volunteer spokesman. Wallace founded the NYS Kinship Navigator in 2006, directing the program for non-parent caregivers of children for 14 years. He is co-chair of the NYS KinCare Coalition, a member of the Child Welfare League of America’s Policy Commission. He is past director of the National Committee of Grandparents for Children’s Rights. He has been tireless in his support of kinship caregivers and older adults.
