JOHN SAFFORD OF SARATOGA SPRINGS

,as chairman of the veterans committee at the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge number 161, has dedicated his efforts to veterans in need. His “stand downs” afford veterans the opportunity to receive necessary items for everyday living and have assisted homeless vets to find housing. He has organized visits to the Stratton V.A. Hospital in Albany, bringing good cheer with ice cream service and with blankets made by area women’s organizations. He finds many ways to help those who have dedicated their lives to serving the country.
