Albany edges Johnstown

Mishayia Temple scored the game-winner in overtime to give Albany a 10-9 win over Johnstown in a non-league girls’ lacrosse game Saturday in Albany.

Allison O’Connor won the draw possession and threw a pass to Temple, who ended the game.

Liv Nevo led the Falcons with five goals. Reagan Wilcox led the Lady Bills with two goals.

More girls’ lacrosse: Carly Wise scored seven goals and Izzy Burke and Morgan Brooking added three apiece to spark Saratoga to 19-9 nonleague win over Burr & Burton. Kenzie Dhal made seven saves for Saratoga.

Baseball: Geno Savoca threw a one-hitter and struck out 11 over five innings to lead Albany Academy to a 12-0 win over Ichabod Crane. Porter Wilsey doubled and knocked in four runs for the Cadets. Brady Holzhauer broke up Savoca’s no-hitter with a single . ... Austin Rosado scattered four hits in a complete-game 9-1 nonleague win over Catskill. Frankie Broadhurst and Jaymie Carkner, batting seventh and eighth, combined to drive in four runs and score three.

Boys’ lacrosse: Jack Burns scored three goals and Eric Hennessey added two goals and two assists as Shaker edged Xaverian 7-6 in a nonleague game. Ryan Mazzariell­o made 15 saves for the Blue Bison. Jake Gilbert and Ben Ryan led Xaverian with two goals each.
