McCaffrey, Mary E.

COLONIE — Mary E. McCaffrey, 78, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022, after a long illness.

Mary was born on June 5, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude McCaffrey in Schenectady.

She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. Mary was outgoing and loved living life. With little family, Mary was fortunate to have a large circle of friends whom she cared for dearly, that became her family. A huge thank you to every one of them for the care and support given to Mary during her life. She will be dearly missed.

Mary is survived by her brother, John McCaffrey; nephews, Sean McCaffrey (Debbie), and Daniel McCaffrey (Ashley); greatnieces, Cora and Maddie McCaffrey; her beloved cat, Lizzie and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave., Albany. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9, from 5 - 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be at a later date in
