Russia and China cannot be trusted

- Bill Goergen Guilderland

Russia and China are sworn ideological enemies of the free world. Russia is overt; China is subtle. Both want world dominance. Both are communistic. Both readily crush anything that looks like democracy.

Russia does not want NATO at its borders. Yet, if they defeat Ukraine, NATO will be at its borders. Russia, not NATO, has always been the aggressor. It attacked Afghanistan in 1979, Georgia in 2008, Croatia in 2014, deployed troops in Syria in 2015 and attacked Ukraine in 2022. Since its creation in 1949, no NATO nation has attacked Russia.

It was amazing how many companies did business with Russia and left when they invaded Ukraine. In essence, corporations gave Russia the wealth it needed to build the weapons used against Ukraine. The butchery being inflicted on innocent civilians is supported by profits from corporations.

Now take a look at China. It trades cheap labor for technology. The technology it doesn’t demand as a part of doing business, it seemingly steals. China’s growing industry has a double benefit. It is destroying the manufacturing capability of participating nations and building a large military machine with the profits.

When will China turn against the free world? China installed a more severe, pro-China government in Hong Kong seemingly in conflict with the 1997 treaty with Britain.

Buying “Made in China” supports communism and an ideology that wants to dominate and destroy the free world.

When will the people and corporations realize they are fueling their own destruction?
