Patroons bolt to 19-point halftime lead to reach 15-2

The Albany Patroons coasted past the visiting Tri-State Admirals 133-114 on Saturday in a The Basketball League contest at Washington Avenue

Armory in Albany.

The Patroons have now won eight straight games to climb to 15-2 atop the TBL’s Northeast Division. Albany’s most recent loss was back on April 3 against Lehigh Valley, 111-108, in Allentown, Pa.

The Patroons raced out to a commanding 67-48 halftime advantage and cruised to the finish line.

Tri-City fell to 9-10 with the loss.

Albany returns to action on Sunday against the host Syracuse Stallions at Liverpool High School. Syracuse, which won 166-122 over Connecticut on Saturday, sits in second place in the Northeast Division at 11-5. The teams tip-off at 4 p.m.
