CEOs at seven public companies headquarte­red in the Capital Region were awarded more than $129 million in compensati­on in 2021. However, the majority of that was given to just two men: Andy Marsh, CEO of fuel cell maker Plug Power, and Scott Rajeski, CEO of the Latham Group, which makes swimming pools. The majority of the compensati­on the two received was in either stock options or restricted stock, the value of which could fluctuate dramatical­ly due to market factors and vesting periods. Here’s a look at what each company reported to shareholde­rs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as their CEO’s total compensati­on in 2021. Numbers include their base salary.

■ Latham Group (Nasdaq: SWIM): Scott Rajeski 2021 total compensati­on of $70,479,461 — salary of $400,000

■ Plug Power (Nasdaq: PLUG): Andy Marsh 2021 total compensati­on: $52,248,305 — salary of $750,000

■ AngioDynam­ics (Nasdaq: ANGO): James Clemmer 2021 total compensati­on $4,045,913 — salary of $720,000

■ TrustCo (Nasdaq: TRST): Robert J. McCormick 2021 total compensati­on: $3,185,330 — salary of $975,000

■ Arrow Financial (Nasdaq: AROW): Thomas Murphy 2021 total compensati­on $2,146,009 — salary of $600,000

■ Pioneer Bancorp (Nasdaq PBFS): Thomas Amell 2021 total compensati­on: $715,561 — salary of $671,182

■ Espey (NYSE American: ESP): Patrick Enright 2021 total compensati­on: $296,877 — salary of $276,322
