Lake George manse going for $8.4 million

- By Leigh Hornbeck

Green Harbour Mansion on Cooper Point in Lake George is on the market for $8.4 million, a steep drop from when it was last listed in 2019 for $15 million.

The 14-bedroom, seven bathroom, three-story mansion was built in 1913 for Frederick F. Peabody, a partner in the Troy shirt manufacturer Cluett, Peabody and Company.

The basement space of the mansion has been converted into two sep-

arate two-bedroom, onebathroom seasonal rental units.

There is also a fourbedroom, two-bathroom waterfront cottage. The 3.3-acre property, with 1,585 feet of lakefront, also has 33 slips that in 2021 brought in $164,360 in rent.

The owner, Ken Ermiger, died last year. He also developed the Depe Dene Resort along Lake George.

The property’s landscaped grounds include a rock waterfall, a rope swing and a large gathering area on the point that provides panoramic views of Lake George.
