Dorothy was born in Schenectady, New York to Stephen Miller and Carmella Talerico McCann. She was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School in Albany. Dorothy worked at the New York Telephone Company and then at McKesson and Robbins Pharmaceuticals until her retirement. She also taught evening classes at Albany High School. Nothing brought her more pleasure than her grandsons and their families. “Grandma ‘Tonio” is survived by Ian and Karisa Antonio, their two daughters, and Alex Antonio and Morgen Maier, and their daughter and son. Her family also includes nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Compson and brother-in-law, James Compson.

Her family wishes to thank the staff at Elderwood Village in Colonie for their many years of friendship and attentive care. We also thank Shaker Place, most especially the staff of the Wright Wing, for their unwavering professional and loving attention to Dorothy.

In keeping with her commitment to helping others, Dorothy has donated her remains to the Albany Medical Anatomical Gift Program.
