The new year brings new opportunities for celebrations of all kinds. But if you’re looking for a truly unique venue to host your next special event, The Inn at Saratoga is your “one-stop shop,” General Manager Lauren Hayward said.

The Inn has housed visitors from all walks of life since 1843, becoming a vital piece of the city’s past while preserving its historic charm for the future. This charm extends into each and every event hosted at the hotel, creating an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

“We can accommodate almost any type of event you can think of,” Hayward added. “From showers to fundraising events to weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, funeral repasses, and family reunions — you name it, we can do it.”

In addition to its 42 uniquely-appointed guest rooms and suites, The Inn has four different spaces suited for events of all shapes and sizes.

The Victorian Ballroom can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sit-down affair, including wedding receptions, holiday parties, and company parties. It can also host cocktail parties for up to 175 people. The room boasts its own bar, massive antique gold mirrors, and a working gas fireplace that adds a cozy air during the winter months.

From the ballroom guests can venture out into the Garden Courtyard, a partiallytented area filled with lush flowers and wild ivy, which sprawls over the fences and brickwork. It has a maximum capacity of 100 people, and is available from May to October. Hayward said the space is great for bridal and baby showers, but can also be utilized for weddings. “Frequently couples choose to have the ceremony outside in the courtyard, their cocktail hour under the tent, and then dinner in the ballroom with music and dancing outside,” she added. “That configuration really creates a nice flow, and at night the courtyard feels quite magical.”

Taking inspiration from a turn-of-thecentury artist’s salon, The Side Room is decorated with fine antiques, paintings, vintage books, and a working fireplace. The space can accommodate up to 30

guests, and is best suited for birthdays, company receptions, and cocktail-style engagement parties.

For meetings or conferences of up to 10 people, Hayward recommends the Newburgher Room on the second floor. The space is tucked away in a quiet corner of The Inn far removed from main traffic areas, so it’s perfect for small groups that need quiet and privacy.

In addition to its unique event spaces, the staff at The Inn comes with years of experience to ensure your special day is executed to perfection. Director of Sales Alyssa Rodriguez works directly with clients to run through the details and logistics beforehand, and gives recommendations for other area vendors. Rodriguez will stay on site throughout the course of your event to make sure everything runs smoothly. She also works in concert with Executive Chef Mike Rafferty and the service staff to create a wonderful experience overall.

And your guests need not worry about staying or eating elsewhere when coming to The Inn for your special day.

“We have rooms for your guests and a cozy restaurant and tavern with live music,” Hayward said. “If you’re looking for a unique space full of character and charm with an easy, streamlined planning process, The Inn is the place for you.” For more information about hosting your event at The Inn at Saratoga, call Rodriguez at 518-583-1890, or visit
