Lisa Frankenstein
Following the violent death of her mother at the hands of an axe murderer two years prior, teenage Lisa Swallows (Newton) is still struggling to cope with the loss. Her father, Dale (Chrest), has remarried a selfish, egotistical woman named Janet (Gugino), and as a result, Lisa has inherited a stepsister in the form of the bubbly and popular Taffy (Soberano). After a traumatic experience at a high school party she attends with Taffy, Lisa seeks solace in a Victorian cemetery nearby, longing for the companionship of a young man (Sprouse) whose grave she frequently visits. After expressing her desire to be with him, a bolt of lightning brings the young man back to life as a zombie who would do absolutely anything for Lisa.

Walden
Mild-mannered Walden Dean (Hirsch) spends his days listening to and recording every piece of testimony presented in court as a stenographer in a small, southern town. After receiving news that he is dying, Walden takes it upon himself to seek vengeance upon every criminal that has shared a courtroom with him, but were able to evade the consequences for their actions.
