30-year veteran Gregory sworn in as Albany chief
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan swears in Joseph Gregory as the city’s fire chief at a ceremony at City Hall on Friday. At left, Gregory, lower left, is congratulated by Albany firefighters and other guests after the ceremony. At right, Gregory gets a hug from former acting Police Chief Robert Sears. Gregory has been a member of the department since July 1988, working his way up from firefighter. He was promoted to deputy chief in October 2014.
