Troy design store to cut ribbon

Elite Design Granite of Clifton, N.J., has opened a second location at 151 Fourth St. in Troy and will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 24. The shop offers granite countertops as well as cabinets and sinks. Owners are Kristine Hoffman and Mike Makarewicz. Shop hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-saturday. After-hours appointments and consultations are available.
