Maple Hill boys edge Catskill

Roberts scores only goal in soccer clash of Patroon rivals

Seth Roberts scored 14 minutes into the second half to lead Maple Hill to a 1-0 win over Catskill Tuesday in a Patroon Conference boys’ soccer game in Maple Hill.

Luke Charlebois broke down the left side of the pitch and sent a cross to Roberts who headed the ball past Catskill keeper Andrew Tran.

Aidan Percey made three saves, including a nice diving stop midway through the second half to earn the shutout.

Tran made eight stops, including a diving save of his own in the second half.

Maple Hill outshot Catskill, 15-5, and had a 3-2 edge in corners.
