CATSKILL — Harold C. Macintosh, 77, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018, at his home after a long illness. Born on December 26, 1940, in Slingerlan­ds, he was the son of the late Earl L. and Marguerite Pendleton Macintosh. He attended Bethlehem Central Schools. Harold was an honorably discharged United States Marine Corp veteran, stationed in California, the Philippine­s and Japan. He was a local tree surgeon and chain saw carver, with several “in place” carvings in New England, the Catskills, Washington D.C., Atlanta and Colorado. He also published several books on the subject.

Harold is survived by a daughter, Heather Huffnagle (Henry) and two granddaugh­ters, Evelyn and Isabel of New Jersey; his siblings, Earl A. Macintosh (Anne) of Altamont, David L. Macintosh (Gail) of Albany, Shirley R. Prahl and Beverly J. Lenox, both of Amsterdam; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a military honors service, which will be held Friday, September 21, at 2 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylervi­lle.

, Pa., Steven Martin and his lovely girlfriend and Michael Martin and his adorable girlfriend Nicole; his wife Joan (Schermerho­rn) Martin whom he married on June 27, 1981; two brothers which he was very close to, Don (Cindy) Martin of Delanson and Stan (Cindy) Martin of Tonawanda, N.Y. along with a few nephews, nieces, one grandnephe­w and one grandniece.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main St., Schoharie where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21. Burial will follow in the Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a living plant sent to the funeral home to continue the family tradition of planting remembranc­e plants.

Mccafferty of Brunswick; her granddaugh­ters, Lisa (Rich) Cellucci and Tara (David) Mooradian both of Brunswick; and her cherished great-grandchild­ren, Gabriella Cellucci, Julia, David, and Ana Mooradian. She was predecease­d by her siblings, Joseph (Evelyn) Beehm, Helen (Norman) Goyer, Catherine (Andrew) Maloney, Lillian (Arthur) Mccomber, Marion (John) Hancox, Evelyn (Orville) Gould, Raymond Beehm, and Anna Beehm.

Florence dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was a devoted caregiver to her daughter Sharon, with whom she enjoyed shopping, dining out and they had a bond that was stronger than mother and daughter.

Florence was always the life of the party, the first one to always step up to help someone in need. She was an avid reader, teacher, animal lover, supporter of many charities and friend to many.

The family would like to express our deepest appreciati­on and most heartfelt gratitude for the many years of love, support and unwaving devotion and care given to Florence.

We would like to take this special time to thank Lucia Peeney, Grace Miele, Patrice Martinez, Kalli Duncan, Rebekah Collins, Taylor Hernandez, Carmen Barreto, Lori Whiteash, Mallory Wood, Maria Kent, Michaila Kent and Jenna Root.

We would also like to thank Florence’s special friends with whom she loved like family, Linda Ferra, Kelly Flynn-pasinalla, Joan Flynn and Julie Hulsebosch.

Florence was a devoted communican­t of Our Lady of Victory Church.

The funeral services for Florence will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, with a viewing hour starting at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Church located at 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy.

She was a past matron of Adah Chapter No.60 OES, past illustriou­s commandres­s of Al Tabari Court No.28, Daughter of Isis, and organizer and first royal commandres­s of Galilee Royal Court No.14 Order of Cyrene.

In addition to her parents, her brothers, William Gallmon Jr. and John E. Gallmon predecease­d her. Survivors include her daughters, Michele L. Mcneal, Renee S. Mcneal, Joanne M. Mcintosh of Schenectad­y and Jamine M. Mcneal of Atlanta; sons, Richard M. Mcneal of Oakland, Calif. and Zachary T. Mcneal of Ballston Lake; 16 grandchild­ren, 15 great-grandchild­ren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held for family and friends at Light’s Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectad­y, on Saturday, September 22, at 11 a.m. Her ashes will be spread over the Pacific Ocean between Oakland and San Francisco.

Bill graduated from Granville High School, spent a year at SUNY Albany and then joined the U.S. Army. He served three years in the military, spending most of that time stationed in Carlsrue, Germany.

After his military service, Bill returned to Granville where he met his future wife, Lynn Johnston at Lake St. Catherine in Wells, Vt. They were married in 1962 in Granville and moved to Albany, where Bill graduated from The Sage Colleges. Bill worked for the New York State Board of Equalizati­on and Assessment, retiring at age 55 to enjoy a long retirement perfecting his cooking skills and playing golf.

Daughters, Lisa Johnston Pauquette and Stephanie Lynn Pauquette were born in Albany. During his time in Albany, Bill continued to support his favorite teams, the Yankees and the Giants. His daughters follow in this tradition. He took up golf and spent many enjoyable years at the Albany Country Club. Playing with his favorite foursome on Tuesday league nights was his most enjoyable time on the golf course.

After Bill retired, he and Lynn began spending winters in St. Augustine, Fla., moving there full-time in 2013. He continued supporting his favorite teams and added the Gators to his list of “must watch” teams.

Bill is survived by his wife and two daughters, his brother Joseph Pauquette of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and his two sisters, Pauline Grottoli of Middle Granville, and Margaret “Peg” Fennell of Granville. In addition, he has over a hundred nieces, nephews, cousins, and their spouses who have all been an integral part of his life.

Services will be at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine, Fla. at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, with a reception to follow immediatel­y at 131 Marshside Drive.

Helen was also predecease­d by her husband Chester Polenz; and stepson Edward (Stacy) Wells. She is also survived by stepchildr­en, Father Gordon Polenz, Victoria Wells, James (Adrienne) Polenz, Marsha (Rick) Mcfeeters; and four grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes there will be no service. Burial will be private at the convenienc­e of the family.
