BALLSTON LAKE — Rodger L. Reese, 76, of Ballston Lake passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Albany Medical Center Hospital on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Born in Cohoes, son of the late Kenneth and Rhea Gauthier Reese, he was a graduate of Cohoes High School, class of 1959. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Rodger began his career with Standard Furniture in Troy, Sharletts in Latham and Mooradians in Troy. Rodger and his late wife Eleanore were the owners of Ballston Furniture in Ballston Spa for many years. He was past president and district governor of Rotary Internatio­nal, which he was very proud of. He was a parishione­r of St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa and usher for over 50 plus years. Rodger was predecease­d by his first wife Eleanore Benoit Reese. Husband of Charlene Hauprich Reese of Ballston Spa. Father of Rodger Jr. and Rhonda Reese of California, Felicia and Jamie Dickinson of Wynantskil­l and Joanna Reese of Ballston Lake; grandfathe­r of Katie, Noah, Giavanna, Rachael, Rebecca, Ameris, Emma, Jessi, Jared and Jenna, also survived by several great-grandchild­ren. Brother of Diane and Neil Kennedy of Ballston Lake and the late John Reese and Richard Reese. Brother-inlaw of Barbara Reese, Georgianna Ellett, Carl and Linda Benoit, Susan and Donald Bourret, Evelyn and David Dufresne and Jeanne and Harold Potts. Son-in-law of Donald and Audrey Hauprich; and brother-in-law of Timothy Hauprich, Pamela Irish, Ann Hauprich and Cole Broderick, Frank Hauprich, William Hauprich, Stephen and Nancy Hauprich, Christophe­r and Joanne Hauprich, Andrew and Sharon Hauprich and Mary and Dave Reilly, also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Ballston Spa where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia St., Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
