COHOES — Patricia A. Wilcox, 60, died suddenly on September 17, 2018.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Doris Fecura Elliott and the late Lewis Carter. Patricia will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother to her five children. She loved spending time with family and was extremely generous to any one she met. She enjoyed taking neighborho­od children with her to the United Church of Cohoes. She was a hard worker and avid New York Giants fan.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband Carl Wilcox; and children, Walter Wheeler III, Sabrina Wheeler, Tiffany (Tera) Wheeler, Ashley (Juan) Wheeler, Kristal Wilcox and Dominic Wheeler. Sister of Bonnie Barkley, Robin (Garth) Couture, Judy (Bill) Clark, Mary (Lou) Scott, Theresa (Paul) Thiessen and the late Cindy Stevens and Darlene Duele. Grandmothe­r of Anthony Wilcox Keaghan Wilcox, Shacoha Cabrera and Ramone Cabrera. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Marra Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy. Calling hours are from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the services.

She was predecease­d by her husband of 40-plus years, Alphonso B. Youngblood Sr.

Vandilla was educated in the Florida schools before relocating to Troy, to work for the State of New York. Vandilla was a profession­al bowler and bowled for the Troy Topperette­s, traveling all around the United States to attend tournament­s. Vandilla and her husband were devoted members of Bethel Baptist Church of Troy.

She was predecease­d by her sister Carrie B. Rouhlac of Hartford, Conn. She is survived by her three children, Lola M. Youngblood, Alphonso B. Youngblood Jr. and Alonzo Joseph Youngblood. Vandilla is also survived by her four grandchild­ren, Alphonso B. Youngblood III, Aleahshann­ece Hunter, Lauryn E. Youngblood and Harmony R. Youngblood.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 21, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 5th Ave, Troy. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with interment following in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
