AL­BANY — Su­san S. Caruso Heis­er­man, 90, of Al­bany, passed away peace­fully with her fam­ily by her side on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 11, 2018, at St. Peter’s Nurs­ing & Re­hab Cen­ter.

Sue was born in Al­bany, the daugh­ter of the late Patsy and Mary Car­pen­ter Caruso. She was em­ployed by the State of New York for a time, and also worked as the host­ess at the Ra­mada Inn. Sue was de­voted to her fam­ily, and was a long­time com­mu­ni­cant of All Saints Catholic Church and the for­mer St. Mar­garet Mary’s Church. She was a mem­ber of the church Se­nior Cit­i­zens, and for over 30 years en­joyed Fri­day night poker games with a neigh­bor­hood group of friends. She also en­joyed vis­it­ing casi­nos, es­pe­cially in Wild­wood, N.J., and she was an avid baker, well known for her cook­ies.

Sue was pre­de­ceased by her beloved hus­band Wil­liam T. Heis­er­man. She is sur­vived by her sons, Wil­liam P. (San­dra) Heis­er­man of Loudonville, James J. (Denise) Heis­er­man of Al­bany, Michael T. (Taf­fela) Heis­er­man of Guilder­land, and Robert G. (Jeanne) Heis­er­man of Bruns­wick; her grand­chil­dren, Shan­non Price (Jim), Kris­ten Manzella (Char­lie), Gretchen Gray­don (Mark), Brit­tany Heis­er­man, Ash­ley Kitto (Cory), and Am­ber, Michael, and Marisa Heis­er­man; her great-grand­chil­dren Alec Price, and Leo and Char­lie Gray­don; her sis­ter-in-law Angie Fer­randino and by many nieces and neph­ews. She was pre­de­ceased by her grand­son Tyler Heis­er­man; and her sis­ters and broth­ers, the late Es­ther and Al Toth, John and Mary Caruso, Louise and Charles Pe­plowski, and Thomas Caruso.

The Heis­er­man fam­ily would like to thank the staff of St. Peter’s Nurs­ing & Re­hab Cen­ter for the won­der­ful care they pro­vided to Sue dur­ing her stay.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held in the Hans Fu­neral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Al­bany on Mon­day at 8:15 a.m., and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Home­stead Street (be­hind CVS) at 9 a.m. Rel­a­tives and friends are in­vited, and may

, y call at the fu­neral home Sun­day from 3-6 p.m. In­ter­ment will be in St. Agnes Ceme­tery, Me­nands.
