ALBANY — Constance V. Below, 82, entered eternal life Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Connie was born in Albany and lived there all her life. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” Savoca and Rosemary Avellino Savoca.

Connie was a beautiful and strong woman who worked at Albany Country Club and Vincentian Institute and she enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the Saratoga Racino and liked spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. Connie was predecease­d by her husband Frank H. Below Sr.; and her sister Mary Rourke. She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising her 17 children, Bonnie Wagoner (Richard), Sandi Kirby (late Leon), Frank Below Jr., Cynthia Tommasini (Tony), Raymond Below, Mark Below (Darlene Scott), Kevin Below (Darcy), Theresa Ruszczyk (Frank Streck), Gail Scaringe (James), Penny Williams, Pam Below (Mike Micare), Sharon Below (James Strawbridg­e), Karen Below, Todd Below, Christine Below (Daniel Suits), Brian Below (Danielle Hackstadt) and Michael Below (Laura Medina). She is also survived by 23 grandchild­ren and 15 great-grandchild­ren.

The family would like to thank the Eddy, and the two private nurses, Christine and Ann, for all the excellent care they gave Connie.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Connie’s family on Tuesday, October 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Mcveigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Funeral services on Wednesday, October 17, at 8 a.m. in the Mcveigh Funeral Home, thence to All Saints Catholic Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where her funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, immediatel­y following the funeral Mass.
