Queensbury

The SUNY Adirondack Symphonic Band presents a concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the SUNY Adirondack Theatre on the Queensbury campus. The program, which also serves as a memorial to Sen. John Mccain, includes a setting of the “Navy Hymn” (“Eternal Father, Strong to Save”) by Claude T. Smith and Percy Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry,” which is a setting of Mccain’s favorite song, “Danny Boy.” In addition to several other musical selections, SUNY Adirondack Professor of English Kathleen Mccoy will read poetry.
