Smith, Mary Jude

ALBANY — Mary Jude “Judy” Smith, 70, passed away at Albany Medical Center Hospital on October 30, 2018, after a brief illness. Born on April 4, 1948, in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine Smith.

She was a graduate of Kenwood Academy of the Sacred Heart and Marymount College of Virginia. She retired in 2005 from the N.Y.S. Department of Health, Office of Medicare Management.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Teresa Gutmanis (late Ivars), and Georgianna Smith; brother Robert Smith; sister-in-law Faye Smith; nephews, Daniel, Eric and Ryan Smith; nieces, Megan Salm (Jeff), Allyson Smith Skross (Tyson); and six grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William J. Smith.

Judy enjoyed going to Huddle Bay Lake George and Bar Harbor, Maine.
