SCHENECTAD­Y — Thelma D. Richardson, 91, of Schenectad­y passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born on a family farm in Victor, Iowa, on September 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Hazel Dolmage. She worked as a registered nurse for 10 years, until becoming a full time wife and mother in 1956.

Thelma is predecease­d by her loving and devoted husband, Harold, whom she married on August 29, 1954. They lived in various cities throughout the northeast before settling in Schenectad­y in 1966, where she was an active and devoted member of Stanford United Methodist Church.

She was a sports enthusiast and served as a secretary for over 40 years in the Ups and Downs bowling league.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Richardson, Janelle Richardson (Tony Germano), Leanne (Kirtland) King and Valleen (Mark) Blanchet; her grandchild­ren, Adriana King, Sarah King, Maya Blanchet, Emory Blanchet; and her great-grandson, Dekker Forde. Her siblings, Vern Dolmage, David Dolmage, Dennis Dolmage, Richard Dean Dolmage, Lillian Tiller, Shelia Varner, Laura Reed, and Daisianna Dodds. She is also predecease­d by sisters, Valerie Cope and Colleen Dolmage.

Her passing will leave a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Thelma was a wonderful mother, a gracious and giving friend and a great servant to her Lord Jesus Christ. If you knew Thelma, she has probably prayed for you.

A visitation will be held Monday from 4 - 6 p.m. at Baxter-andrew (Griswold) Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectad­y. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Stanford United Methodist Church, 1569 State St. Schenectad­y, followed by interment in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
