Precision Upstate was named a winner of the “Best use of solid surface material” at the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association’s 2018 Best in Building Awards. The 6th annual event honored excellence and innovation in residential building, remodeling, design and marketing.
Paul Scott, a Niskayuna High School science teacher, received New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling’s 2018 School Recycling Leadership Award for his commitment to and impact in educating students and the community about recycling and composting.
Gus Ribeiro, an environmental program specialist at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany, was awarded New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling’s 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to securing state grants to ensure the financial success of municipalities’ recycling and composting programs.
Design firm Stantec won top engineering awards for two projects bringing new vitality to urban spaces in Albany and Rochester at the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York’s annual 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards program. Stantec’s transportation planning team was honored for creating new vistas at Corning Riverfront Park, seen by many as a catalyst to future downtown enhancements, including the Albany Skyway and Maiden Lane project.
