Irving, Celtics rout Cavaliers by 33

Boston sets standard for points this season in win over Cleveland

Kyrie Irving scored 29 points in the first three quarters and the Celtics topped their season scoring high for the second straight game, routing the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-95 Friday night.

Marcus Morris scored 15, Jayson Tatum had 13 points and Aron Baynes finished with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Celtics, who had all five starters score in double figures and broke 100 points before the fourth quarter.

Boston took over the game in the third quarter, making six of eight 3-pointers and outscoring Cleveland 39-20 in the period.

Grizzlies 131, Nets 125 (2OT): Mike Conley scored 19 of Memphis’ 20 points in the two overtimes, rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a careerhigh 36 points and the Grizzlies beat Brooklyn. Conley kept Memphis’ hopes alive in regulation when he blocked Spencer Dinwiddie’s potential game-winning basket and then scored on a floater to tie it 117-all with nine seconds left in the first overtime period. The Grizzlies point guard then practicall­y beat the Nets on his own in the second overtime period, shooting 3-for-3 from the field and making all seven of his free throws to finish with 37 points and 10 rebounds. Demarre Carroll had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Nets.

Thunder 124, Hawks 109: Russell Westbrook fell a rebound short of a triple-double, finishing with 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in Oklahoma City’s victory over Atlanta. Shenendeho­wa graduate Kevin Huerter had five points, four assists and six rebounds for Atlanta. Pistons 107, Bulls 88: Andre Drummond had 19 points and 19 rebounds and Blake Griffin added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Detroit. Reggie Jackson added 20 points for the Pistons.

Jazz 119, Hornets 111: Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, Robert Gobert had 20 points and 17 rebounds and Utah scored 54 points off 3-pointers to hold off Charlotte. Kyle Korver made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points in the debut of his second stint with the Jazz. 76ers 123, Wizards 98: Joel Embiid had 16 points and 15 rebounds, Ben Simmons added 13 points and 10 assists and both Philadelph­ia stars sat for the final quarter and a half. rockets 136, Spurs 105:

Clint Capela had 27 points and 12 rebounds, James Harden added 23 points and 10 assists and Houston handed San Antonio its second straight lopsided loss.

Heat 106, Pelicans 101: Josh Richardson scored 20 points, Dwyane Wade added 18 and Miami wasted most of a 31-point lead before hanging on to beat New Orleans. Anthony Davis had 41 points for the Pelicans. Magic 99, Suns 85: Nikola Vucevic scored 25 points and had 15 rebounds to lead Orlando past Phoenix. The Suns were led by Deandre Ayton with 19 points. Notes: Wizards center Dwight Howard is expected to miss two to three months after undergoing spinal surgery to relieve pain in his glutes . ... Thunder guard Andre Roberson has had another setback while rehabbing his left knee injury and he will miss at least another six weeks. ... Pacers guard Victor Oladipo will be out indefinite­ly as he tries to recover from a sore right knee.
