■ Series: Texas leads 62-46-5

■ What’s at stake: Oklahoma is going for its fourth Big 12 title in a row, and maybe its third College Football Playoff appearance. The Sooners can avenge their only loss, in the Red River rivalry game. The Longhorns will try to win their first league championship since 2009. Big Ten championship

No. 21 Northwestern (8-4, 8-1, No. 21 CFP) vs. No. 6 Ohio State (111, 8-1, No. 6 CFP) at Indianapolis, 8 p.m. Saturday (Fox-23)

■ Series: Ohio State leads 61-14-1

■ What’s at stake: Sure, Saturday’s winner will be crowned the conference champion, but Big Ten officials will spend the pregame festivities watching scoreboards to see if the Buckeyes get enough help to claim one of the four precious playoff spots with a victory.
