Plainsmen top Brothers in Suburban Council boys’ basketball battle
Jake Reinisch scored a game-high 25 points to lead Shenendehowa to a 65-63 win over visiting CBA on Friday in a Suburban Council boys’ basketball clash in Clifton Park.
Reinisch hit a key threepointer and T.J. Sangare’s dunk sealed the win for the Plainsmen.
Peter O’toole had 15 points to pace the CBA offense.
More boys’ basketball: Catskill improved to 6-0 on the season with a 103-81 win over host Cairodurham in a Patroon Conference clash. Junior Devon Haye scored 35 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Cats. Justice Brantley added 28 points for Catskill. Jacob Hall had 25 points for Cairo-durham . ... Isaiah Knight drained three 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead Lansingburgh to a 73-47 win over Ichabod Crane. Christian Pesano sank six 3-pointers for the Riders and finished with a game-high 28 points . ... Schalmont pulled away for a 66-47 win over Mohonasen behind Shane O’dell, who scored 14 of his game-high 34 points in the fourth quarter. The Sabres (5-0, 2-0) outscored the Mighty Warriors 21-9 in the final eight minutes.
... Joseph Girard III poured in 53 points to help Glens Falls coast past Hudson Falls, 91-63, in a Foothills Council game . ... Killian Schrader hit seven three-pointers in the second half and finished with 31 points to lift Coxsackie-athens to a 67-53 win over Greenville.
Girls’ basketball: Eleanor Cepiel scored 12 points to spark Holy Names to a 56-44 win over Catholic Central. Holy Names took control in the second quarter when it outscored the Crusaders 22-11 . ... Alexis Van Vorst dropped in 22 to lead Columbia past Burnt Hills, 50-44, in a Suburban Council matchup. Callie Chevalier had 14 points for Burnt Hills.
