Dallas rallies in third for win

Miro Heiskanen and Brett Ritchie scored in the third period, and the Dallas Stars beat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Friday night for their fourth consecutiv­e victory.

The game was tied at 1 before Heiskanen scored from the top of the right faceoff circle 4:38 into the third. Ritchie then got his second of the season at 6:26, making it 3-1 Dallas.

The Stars also got a solid performanc­e from Ben Bishop, who made a season-high 41 saves. Blues 1, Jets 0: Jake Allen made 26 saves and recorded his first shutout of the season. Alex Steen redirected Colton Parayko’s shot for a power-play goal, the game’s only score. Oilers 7, Wild 2: Leon Draisaitl had a pair of goals to lead Edmonton past Minnesota. Six other players had a goal apiece for the Oilers. Cam Talbot made 31 saves for the win.

Note: Calgary forward Ryan Lomberg was suspended for a game and coach Bill Peters fined $10,000 by the NHL for a confrontat­ion at the end of a game with Minnesota. Lomberg went after Matt Dumba when the Wild defenseman steamrolle­d Flames center Mikael Backlund in the final minute of Calgary’s 2-0 victory Thursday. The NHL also said that Flames captain Mark Giordano is to have a hearing for kneeing Wild captain Mikko Koivu in the third period.
