With great power comes a trip to D.C.
The theme of the Future City competition at the Sage College Armory in Albany on Saturday was “Powering the Future.” Middle-school students were asked to design power grids for future cities “that can withstand and quickly recover from the impacts of a natural disaster.” Students from Richard H. O’rourke Middle School of Burnt Hills-ballston Lake took the honors. The winners will attend the Future City finals in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 17-19.
