Class AA

■ 1. Shenendeho­wa (17-2, last week No. 1): The top-seeded Plainsmen, ranked No. 8 in the state, begin sectional play Feb. 21 when they face the winner Columbia and Niskayuna in quarterfin­al play.

■ 2. Albany (18-2, LW No. 2): Ahniysha Jackson led the way with 22 points and Jenna Citone and Hasjina Gaddy each tallied 14 points as the Falcons concluded their regularsea­son schedule by beating Burnt Hills 84-46.

■ 3. Saratoga (14-5, LW No. 3): The third-seeded Blue Streaks are set to take on No. 6 seed Shaker on Feb. 21 at Albany in the quarterfin­als.

■ 4. Colonie (14-5, LW No. 4): The Garnet Raiders, winners of the 2018 sectional title, garnered the No. 4 seed and will take on No.5 Guilderlan­d on Feb. 21 at Shenendeho­wa in the quarterfin­als.

■ 5. Shaker (10-10, LW not rated): The Blue Bison went 8-8 in Suburban Council action to land the No. 6 seed, but they beat fifth-seeded Guilderlan­d (9-7 league) twice — the second win coming Monday with a 62-55 triumph.

■ Teams to watch: Bethlehem (1010), Guilderlan­d (12-7)

Class A

■ 1. Averill Park (17-2, LW No. 1): The quest for a sixth straight sectional title starts Feb. 21 at home against the winner of Friday’s contest between Ballston Spa and South Glens Falls.

■ 2. Queensbury (19-1, LW No. 2): The Spartans placed five players in double digits, led by 15 points from Abby Doin, to beat Johnstown 79-46 and earn a share of the Foothills Council title with Amsterdam.

■ 3. Holy Names (19-1, LW No. 3): Keira Cohen and Grace Field each scored 18 points to help power the Colonial Council champions past Bishop Grimes 56-51.

■ 4. Amsterdam (18-2, LW No. 4): Andie Gannon pumped in 17 points to help the Rams complete their Foothills Council schedule with a 5727 decision over Schuylervi­lle.

■ 5. Gloversvil­le (15-5, LW No. 5): The fifth-seeded Dragons begin their sectional run Friday when they play host to No. 12 seed Mohonasen in the first round.

Class B

■ 1. Tamarac (14-5, LW No. 1): The Bengals fell behind big early, rallied and ultimately could not overcome Cambridge’s 10-1 advantage in 3-pointers, dropping a 56-48 verdict in the Wasaren League title game.

■ 2. Mekeel Christian Academy (16-3, LW No. 3): The Lions enter their first foray into the Class B sectionals as the No. 3 seed and bring a nine-game winning streak into Saturday’s first round against the survivor between Cohoes and Cairodurha­m.

■ 3. Mechanicvi­lle (12-7, LW No. 2): Taylor Grayson scored 16 points and Charli Goverski tallied 13 points as the Red Raiders defeated Hoosic Valley 53-39.

■ 4. Voorheesvi­lle (12-7, LW No. 4): The Blackbirds, seeking a second straight title, begin their playoff push Saturday against the winner of the Corinth-fonda contest.

■ 5. Schalmont (10-10, LW NR): The Sabres garnered the No. 5 seed and play Saturday against the opening-round winner between Catskill and Watervliet.

Class C

■ 1. Cambridge (17-1, LW No. 1): The top-seeded Indians, ranked No. 4 in the state and a program that captured a 2018 sectional title, begin pursuit of a repeat Saturday when they play host to the winner of the Saratoga Central Catholic/canajohari­e game.

■ 2. Hoosic Valley (13-5, LW No. 2): Senior forward Alex Rifenburg tops the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game.

■ 3. Maple Hill (19-1, LW No. 3): Stacia Coyne netted 13 points and Paige Bleau added 12 points to pace the Wildcats to a 56-45 Patroon Conference win over Rensselaer to complete their league schedule at 18-0.

■ 4. Lake George (17-2, LW No. 4): Graceann Bennett delivered 29 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, five assists and four blocked shots to propel the Warriors past Warrensbur­g 68-51 for the Adirondack League title.

■ 5. Warrensbur­g (18-2, LW No. 5): Meghan Hughes finished with 29 points, seven rebounds and four steals as the Burghers dropped a 6851 decision against Lake George.

■ Teams to watch: Berne-knoxwester­lo (14-5), Hoosick Falls (11-8)

Class D

■ 1. Fort Edward (14-6, LW No. 1): The Flying Forts landed the No. 1 seed and will play host to the winner between Fort Ann and Whitehall on Tuesday in the quarterfin­als.

■ 2. Hartford (12-6, LW No. 2): The second-seeded Tanagers have a bye into the quarterfin­als and will face the winner of Argyle-loudonvill­e Christian on Tuesday at home.

■ 3. Bishop Gibbons (11-8, LW No. 4): The Golden Knights, entering sectional play winners of five of their past six games, are set to entertain the survivor between Heatly and Salem on Tuesday.

■ 4. North Warren (11-8, LW No. 3): The fourth-seeded Cougars will face the winner of the first-round contest pitting Germantown and Northville.

■ 5. Germantown (11-7, LW NR): The Clippers landed the No. 5 seed and play host to No. 12 Northville on Friday in first-round action.

■ Teams to watch: Heatly (9-8), Whitehall (12-8)
