Class AA

■ 1. Bethlehem (19-1, last week No. 1): The top-seeded Eagles await the winner between La Salle and Schenectad­y in the quarterfin­als Saturday at Hudson Valley Community College.

■ 2. Saratoga (17-3, LW No. 2): Up next for the Blue Streaks is the survivor between Albany and Colonie in the quarterfin­als.

■ 3. Shenendeho­wa (14-6, LW No. 3): The Plainsmen enter sectional play having captured nine of their past 10 outings (the lone loss coming Jan. 30, 48-44 against Saratoga).

■ 4. CBA (14-6, LW No. 4): The fourth-seeded Brothers begin their playoff push Wednesday when they play host to No. 13 seed Guilderlan­d.

■ 5. Green Tech (9-9, LW Not rated): The fifth-seeded Eagles completed their regular-season schedule by beating Leman 7870 in overtime at Washington Avenue Armory.

Class A

■ 1. Albany Academy (16-2, LW No. 1): The Cadets return to the court Friday for a contest against John Bowne as part of the Long Island Lutheran Postseason Invitation­al.

■ 2. Troy (16-4, LW No. 2): Latyce Faison tallied 24 points, Nazaire Merritt scored 23 points and Lateef Johnson contribute­d 20 points to help the Flying Horses complete their Suburban Council schedule by beating Schenectad­y 86-78.

■ 3. Mekeel Christian Academy (14-4, LW No. 3): The Lions, seeded No. 4, entertain No. 13 seed Bishop Maginn on Wednesday in the first round of sectionals.

■ 4. Gloversvil­le (18-2, LW No. 4): The Dragons bounced back from a loss against Glens Falls with a regular-seasonendi­ng 72-42 victory against Hudson Falls.

■ 5. Averill Park (13-7, LW No. 5): The third-seeded Warriors will meet the winner between Mohonasen and Catholic Central on Sunday at HVCC in the quarterfin­als.

■ Teams to watch: Lansingbur­gh (13-7), Mohonasen (14-6)

Class B

■ 1. Schalmont (19-1, LW No. 1): The top-seeded Sabres, ranked No. 3 in the state, begin their sectional journey Tuesday when they play host to No. 17 seed Hudson Falls.

■ 2. Glens Falls (19-1, LW No. 2): Ranked No. 4 in the state, the Indians enter sectional play ranked first in Section II in points per game (87.1 ppg), 3-pointers (192) and free throws made (344).

■ 3. Watervliet (15-5, LW No. 3): The Cannoneers carry a fivegame winning streak into Tuesday’s first-round contest against No. 14 seed Bishop Gibbons.

■ 4. Catskill (17-3, LW No. 4): The fourth-seeded Cats, who shared the Patroon Conference championsh­ip with Maple Hill, play host to No. 13 seed Voorheesvi­lle on Tuesday in the first round.

■ 5. Fonda (16-4, LW No. 5): The Braves look to snap a twogame losing streak Tuesday when they take on No. 12 seed Coxsackie-athens in first-round play.

Class C

■ 1. Lake George (20-0, LW No. 1): The Warriors, owners of the state’s longest winning streak at 48 games, begin their pursuit of a fourth straight sectional title Tuesday against No. 16 seed Cambridge.

■ 2. Hoosick Falls (18-1, LW No. 2): The Wasaren League champions for the sixth straight year, the Panthers captured their 54th consecutiv­e league win by rallying past Waterford 55-52.

■ 3. Maple Hill (17-2, LW No. 3): The first playoff opponent for the third-seeded Wildcats is No. 14 seed Hadleyluze­rne and the Eagles visit Tuesday for first-round action.

■ 4. Mayfield (16-4, LW No. 4): Senior guard Garrett Delaney ranks ninth in Section II in 3-pointers with 60.

■ 5. Chatham (15-5, LW NR): The Panthers, seeded No. 4, concluded their regular-season slate with a 58-47 triumph over Ichabod Crane.

■ Teams to watch: Canajohari­e (14-4), Granville (14-6), Schoharie (13-7)

Class D

■ 1. OESJ (17-3, LW No. 1): The Wolves earned the Western Athletic Conference Cup with a 53-51 verdict over Fonda.

■ 2. Fort Ann (15-5, LW No. 2): The Cardinals return to action Saturday in the quarterfin­als at Stillwater when they meet the winner between Argyle and Hawthorne Valley.

■ 3. Germantown (14-5, LW No. 3): Bryan Bathrick scored 20 points, Robbie Eaton tallied 16 points and Dan Kellennenz added 15 points as the Clippers trimmed New Lebanon 66-48 in their regular-season finale.

■ 4. Hartford (13-7, LW No. 4): The fourth-seeded Tanagers play host to No. 13 seed Salem in first-round play Wednesday.

■ 5. North Warren (12-8, LW No. 5): The fifth-seeded Cougars defeated Whitehall twice in the Adirondack League, and will need a third victory over the Railroader­s on Wednesday in order to advance to the quarterfin­als.
