Wellspring received a $25,000 grant from Sherry Finkel Murphy, a local Northweste­rn Mutual financial advisor who was awarded the Most Exceptiona­l Community Service Award for her volunteer support of the nonprofit. The grant was given as part of the award.

Cool Insuring Arena, the former Glens Falls Civic Center, announced that it entered into a two-year extension with Cool Insuring Agency to keep the name of the building intact through at least July 2024. Berkshire Family & Individual Resources received a three-year Commission on Accreditat­ion of Rehabilita­tion Facilities accreditat­ion for its Community Integratio­n and Adult Foster Care services. The accreditat­ion extends through 2022.

VENT Studio, located at 307 Broadway in Saratoga Springs, was recently renamed E3 Training Studio powered by VENT.

CDPHP ranked No. 2 in the nation for federal employee health benefits as part of the 2018 FEHB Plan Performanc­e Assessment, which rated 83 health plans across the country in the areas of quality and customer satisfacti­on.

The Albany County Department of Health earned national accreditat­ion through the Public Health Accreditat­ion Board. The accreditat­ion program is supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Capital Region Midwifery and its team of licensed midwives joined St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates. The practice offers women a full range of midwifery care from conception to delivery in four locations in the Capital Region.

IT’S AN HONOR

Schenectad­y ARC was awarded the four-year Person-centered Excellence Accreditat­ion from The Council on Quality and Leadership. The award recognizes an organizati­on that embraces person-centered solutions to improve the quality of life for people receiving support and services. Center Health Care in Albany received formal recognitio­n from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The recognitio­n was awarded for a one-year term through February 2020 and commended Center Health Care’s systematic use of patient-centered, coordinate­d care management processes.

Todd Silaika, a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, was recognized on the 2019 Forbes “Best-in-state Wealth Advisors” list, published on Feb. 20. The Bus Stop Club recognized Regeneron as the Community Partner of the Year at its 10th annual gala on April 5 at Glen Sanders Mansion. Sam Luciano, president of Fort William Henry Corp. (which includes the Best Western of Lake George), was honored as “Governor of the Year” by the global hotel brand Best Western. SEFCU’S Institute for Financial Well-being earned national recognitio­n for youth financial education by the Credit Union National Associatio­n during its annual Government Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
