What’s open, what’s closed

Labor Day is Monday. The following is a partial list of holiday schedule changes:

■ Banks: All will be closed Monday.

■ Buses: CDTA will operate on a Sunday/ holiday schedule on Monday. 518-4828822 or http://cdta.org.

■ Garbage: In Albany, garbage will be picked up as usual on Monday. In Schenectady, garbage pickup will be moved forward one day and will stay so until the next holiday. Private contractors’ schedules vary.

■ Government: Most federal, state, city, town and municipal offices will be closed Monday.

■ Libraries: All are closed Monday.

■ Mail: There will be no mail pickup or delivery Monday.

■ Schools and colleges: All will be closed Monday.

■ Museums: The State Museum, Albany, will be closed Monday. The USS Slater, Albany, will be open Monday. It is usually closed on Monday.

■ Shopping: Malls and large grocery stores will be open Monday.
