Postcard from Saratoga Race Course

Come see what just might be the future on Monday. The Saratoga Race Course meet ends its 40-day (well, it was only 39 this year because of a day lost to extreme heat) season on Labor Day, but not before they run the Grade I, $350,000 Hopeful for 2-year-olds. You just might be seeing a star of next year’s Triple Crown series. This is the good-looking Green Light Go, who is unbeaten in two career starts and will look to make it three in the Hopeful. He was schooling in the Saratoga paddock Thursday morning, getting ready for his toughest day yet. Looking like he is ready to go (sorry, could not resist).
