Streaks blank Indians in field hockey

Four different Blue Streaks scored in Saratoga’s 4-0 nonleague field hockey victory over Glens Falls on Monday.

Aubrey Idle started the scoring with just more than 13 minutes to play in the first half, with an assist from Kylie Folts. Danielle Geils and Lauren Barlow contribute­d a goal each in the final seconds of the half, giving Saratoga a 3-0 lead at the break, and Raegan Desmarais scored the final goal in the second half. Cassidy Harrington had 18 saves for Glens Falls.

Boys’ soccer: tamarac won the Coxsackie Columbus day tournament with a 4-2 victory over Coxsackie in the opener and a 4-0 win over Hudson in the final. dylan Briccetti contribute­d two goals against Hudson, his 22nd and 23rd of the season. Girls’ soccer: Ashley engle scored twice to lift oesj to a 3-0 victory over nonleague opponent fort Plain. Abby Johnson contribute­d the third goal. madisyn Schell and Alexis mumford both had assists. oesj improved to 10-2-2 overall. ... Glens falls’ robin Gorton had 12 saves in the indians’ 2-1 loss to Hoosick falls.
