NFL teams must hold training at home sites
All 32 NFL teams have been told by commissioner Roger Goodell to hold training camps at their home facilities this summer because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most NFL teams stay at their training complexes year-round, but Dallas, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Buffalo are among those that stage training camp elsewhere.
The Cowboys and Steelers are scheduled for thehalloffamegamein Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 6 and will be the first two teams to report in late July. Dallas usually trains in Oxnard, Calif., and Pittsburgh in nearby Latrobe, Pa.
The league has canceled all in-person workouts at team facilities, which only in the past two weeks have begun opening on a limited basis. No coaches nor players other than those undergoing medical treatment and rehabilitation have been allowed in those facilities. auto racing: The Formula One season will start with backto-back races at the Austrian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg will host races on July 5 and 12. college football: The college football season opener between Notre Dame and Navy has been moved out of Ireland because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Irish and Midshipmen were scheduled to meet in Dublin on Aug. 29, but instead will seek to play at the Naval Academy during the Labor Day weekend. golf: The PGA Tour plans backto-back tournaments at Muirfield Village in Ohio, starting with a tournament July 9-12, with the Memorial scheduled for the following week.
