Giants quarterback Daniel Jones still listed as questionable for game against Arizona.

- East Rutherford, N.J.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is listed as questionable for the game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Jones was a full participant in practice Friday for the first time since his hamstring injury against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 29. The 23-yearold quarterback was limited during practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Backup Colt Mccoy started at quarterback last week in the Giants’ 17-12 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Mccoy completed 13 of 22 passes for 105 yards, one TD and one interception.

Also, inside linebacker Blake Martinez ( back), cornerback Darney Holmes (knee), and offensive tackle Matt Peart (ankle) are questionable.

The Cardinals expect to have veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald after he was activated from the reserve/coVID -19 list on Wednesday. He was out 13 days and missed two games.

Arizona has several players listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, including linebacker Isaiah Simmons (neck/ back), receiver Deandre Hopkins (neck/ back), kicker Zane Gonzalez ( back), running back Kenyan Drake (hip), linebacker De’vondre Campbell (ankle) and right tackle Kelvin Beachum ( back). Safety Jalen Thompson (ankle) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (neck) are out.

Sunday’s game between New York (5-7) and Arizona (6-6) is crucial to both teams’ playoff hopes. The Giants are tied with Washington for first place in the NFC East. The Cardinals are third in the NFC West behind the Rams and Seahawks.

Jets: Linebacker Jordan Jenkins, wide receiver Denzel Mims, right guard Greg Van Roten and safeties Ashtyn Davis and Bennett Jackson were all ruled out. Leading receiver Jamison Crowder and offensive lineman Pat Elflein are questionable, as is running back Frank Gore, whose availability is uncertain after he completed the NFL’S concussion protocol.

Patriots: For the first time in more than a decade, the team will head into its final three games of the season with an unsettled playoff fate. The Patriots entered the week in 10th place in the AFC and trudging through one of their worst years of Bill Belichick’s tenure. Now 6-7 following a 24-3 loss to the Rams on Thursday, New England’s long-shot hopes of extending an Nfl-record run of 11 consecutive playoff appearances have faded even more. And the questions about New England’s future at quarterback that surrounded the team this offseason following Tom Brady’s departure have returned, with perhaps even greater urgency. The Patriots’ loss to the Rams was marked by the same problems that have plagued New England for most of 2020: Cam Newton’s struggles in the passing game. Falcons: Receiver Julio Jones will miss his fourth game of the season because of a lingering hamstring injury. Two other starters, safety Riccardo Allen (concussion) and offensive guard James Carpenter (groin), will also sit. Lions: Detroit interviewed internal candidates Kyle O’brien, Lance Newmark and Rob Lohman for its general manager vacancy. O’brien is the team’s vice president of player personnel, Newmark is director of player personnel, and Lohman is director of pro scouting. Packers: Tight end Jace Sternberger has been ruled out because of a concussion. Raiders: Running back Josh Jacobs, right tackle Trent Brown and safety Johnathan Abram are questionable versus the Colts. Steelers: Pittsburgh placed linebacker Vince Williams on the reserve/covid-19 list. Texans: Houston placed running back David Johnson on the reserve/covid-19 list.
