Underage sex filmed, police say

MALTA — Two men were arrested after being accused of supplying a teenage girl with drugs and alcohol and filming their sexual activities in a Malta hotel room, police said.

Authorities allege Vincent Avila, 21, and Michael May, 25, brought the 16-year-old girl to the hotel overnight on Jan. 27 and 28.

After furnishing alcohol and drugs, the men allegedly had sexual relations with the victim and recorded the activity on their phones, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff ’s Office, which announced the arrests on Thursday.

Avila, of Schenectady, and May, of Mechanicville, were charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, thirddegree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Avila was also charged with thirddegree criminal sex act against the victim and petit larceny for allegedly disposing of her personal belongings.

Both defendants were arraigned at Malta Town Court. Avila was sent to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 bail; May posted $1,000 bail at his arraignment, police said.
