Dead & Company to stop in Spa City on Aug. 27.

The local concert calendar continues to grow, with the latest announcement being for Dead & Company, set to stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Friday, Aug. 27, as part of a 31-date tour running Aug. 16 through Oct. 31.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, May 21, according to multiple industry sites. The concert is not yet on the websites of SPAC, promoter Live Nation or Ticketmaster, but there is a registration page for the Dead & Co. 2021 tour on the Ticketmaster Verified Fan site, which allows for presale access to tickets.

The band — Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, joined by John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti — was supposed to play SPAC on Aug. 3 last year, but its whole 17-date 2020 tour was canceled in April as the coronavirus pandemic grew.

Other shows currently on SPAC’S concert calendar are Trey Anastasio in June; Chicago, The Black Crowes and Rod Stewart in July; and, later in the year, Darryl Hall & John Oates, Lindsay Stirling, Alanis Morissette with Garbage, Maroon 5 and the Dave Matthews Band.
