Malta music fest debuts

ROCK-TOGA will raise funds for child cancer treatment

An afternoon of music on Sunday, Aug. 1 will benefit Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, which cares for children and teens with cancer and blood disorders.

The inaugural ROCKTOGA, running from noon to 6 p.m. at Malta Drive In, 2785 Route 9, will showcase local music groups such as Grand Central Station, Big Sky, Jocamo and Superposit­ion, as well as food, raffles and a stock car display.

The family-friendly event will include other musical acts and attraction­s that will be announced closer to Aug. 1.

Admission is $25 per
