Ganassi getting out of NASCAR circuit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Chip Ganassi sold his NASCAR team to Justin Marks, owner of Trackhouse Racing, and declared Wednesday that he will pull out of the nation’s top stock car series at the end of this season.

Ganassi fields two cars in the Cup Series but will transfer his North Carolina race shop and all its assets to Marks for 2022.

Olympics: Coco Gauff and Jennifer Brady will lead a U.S. Olympic tennis team that will go to the Tokyo Games without any of the country’s two highest-ranked women or four top men, according to a roster obtained by The Associated Press. Venezuela had a 21point lead in the third quarter trimmed to one before hanging on to defeat South Korea 94-80 . ... Canadian basketball player Kim Gaucher, who is breastfeed­ing her infant daughter, has won in her quest to bring the baby to the Tokyo Olympics.

NFL: Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk has agreed to a fiveyear contract extension making him one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the league.

Soccer: Jadon Sancho appears finally headed to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund after a long-running pursuit of the winger. United has agreed to a deal in principle to sign Sancho for $100 million from Dortmund . ... Tottenham’s chaotic search for a manager ended with the hiring of Nuno Espirito Santo as Jose Mourinho’s successor.
