Here are some Independence Day celebrations planned for the weekend.
SATURDAY, JULY 3

SUNDAY, JULY 4
■ 10 a.m. parade starts at at Dairyland on Route 20, Sharon Spring and will feature floats, antiques cars, tractors and groups carrying banners. Food trucks on the front lawn of Sharon Springs Central School
■ 11 a.m., reading of the Declaration of Independence at 11 a.m. at the Loudonville Green, insteresection of routes 9 and 378, Colonie by Peter G. Crummey, former senior Colonie town justice and court administrator. Sponsored by the Greater Loudonville Association. Refreshments provided.
■ 11:30 a.m., celebration for our homeless and needy neighbors, chapel followed by picnic for 500 adults and children, Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 South Pearl St., Albany
■ Noon to dusk, parade starts at the entrance to Shenendehowa campus on Route 146 and ends on Clifton Common. Music, concessions, etc. Fireworks at dusk.
■ 5:30 p.m. to dusk, the Washington County Fairgrounds, 392 Old Schuylerville Road, Greenwich. Food trucks and fireworks sponsored by the Fort Miller Group and The Washington County Fairgrounds. Bring blankets and chairs
■ 6 to 10 p.m., the 45th annual Price Chopper Market 32 celebration at the Empire State Plaza. Parking vaccination site opens at 5:30 p.m. Official ceremony at 7:45 p.m. Bands, food, and at 9:15 p.m. fireworks.
