Saratoga Reptile Expo to take place Sept. 11
SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Reptile Expo will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Saratoga Springs City Center, 522 Broadway.
Sixty breeders will set up 130 vendor tables on 28,500 square feet, selling captive bred and long-term captive reptiles, amphibians, small exotic mammals

The education room will offer hands-on learning opportunities and presentations with zoologists and educators.
Tickets cost $10, $5 for children ages 6 to 13, free for children younger than six.

Walk to aid research in pancreatic cancer
BETHLEHEM — The Lustgarten Foundation Albany Capital District Pancreatic Cancer Walk to raise awareness and funding for pancreatic cancer research will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 19 at the Elm Avenue Park, 261 Elm Ave. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Since 2004, the walk has raised more than $1.3 million to support pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic
cancer accounts for just 3 percent of all cancers diagnosed in the United States each year, yet it is the third-leading cause of cancer deaths and has a five-year survival rate of only 10 percent.

Workshops set on nature watercolors
GANSEVOORT — Combine your love of art and nature at two workshops scheduled noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 23 and Sept. 25 at Delegan Pond of Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, 80 Scout Road.
Local artist Catherine Wagner Minnery will offer guidance. This program is appropriate for participants older than 13. All supplies will be provided but participants may bring their own. Registration is required by Sept.18.
