Stassi’s home run caps 8-run rally
Cabrera drives in 4, but still at 499 HR
Max Stassi hit a go-ahead, two-run homer in the eighth inning and the Los Angeles Angels overcame an eightrun deficit to beat the Detroit Tigers 13-10 Thursday.
Miguel Cabrera drove in four runs to help Detroit open a 10-2 lead after five innings. He had multiple hits for the first time since Aug. 11, when he hit homer No. 499. He grounded out with a chance to reach the milestone, finishing 2-for-5.

Mariners 9, Rangers 8 (11): Ty France hit a two-run homer in the 11th inning and Seattle completed a
three-game sweep of Texas after the Rangers forced extra innings with five runs in the ninth.
Astros 6, Royals 3 (10): Aledmys Diaz singled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning and Houston avoided a four-game sweep.
Diamondbacks 6, Phillies 2: Madison Bumgarner held Philadelphia to one hit over seven innings and Arizona completed a sweep.
Reds 6, Marlins 1: Joey Votto hit a three-run homer, Luis Castillo pitched seven innings of one-run ball and Cincinnati beat Miami.
Cardinals 8, Brewers 4: Tyler O’neill and Lars Nootbaar hit back-to-back home runs in a five-run fifth to lead St. Louis.
Note: A Los Angeles judge sided with Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer and denied a five-year restraining order requested by a woman who said he choked her into unconsciousness and punched her repeatedly during two sexual encounters. In denying the civil domestic violence restraining order, Judge Dianna Gouldsaltman said that according to the 27-year-old San Diego woman’s testimony, Bauer honored her boundaries when she set them.
