Vincent Ellis, 24, of Albany, was sentenced to 16 years in state prison Thursday after a June 10 guilty plea to first-degree manslaughter, Albany County District Attorney David Soares’ office said. On March 9 on Sheridan Avenue, Albany, Ellis stabbed Brian Jenkins, 28, in an altercation, prosecutors said. Jenkins later died. Albany police arrested Ellis at the scene. criminal sexual act, prosecutors say. At the time, Abdalla was a soccer coach to the minor, officials said. He must register as a sex offender upon his release.
