Vincent Ellis, 24, of Albany, was sentenced to 16 years in state prison Thursday after a June 10 guilty plea to first-degree manslaught­er, Albany County District Attorney David Soares’ office said. On March 9 on Sheridan Avenue, Albany, Ellis stabbed Brian Jenkins, 28, in an altercatio­n, prosecutor­s said. Jenkins later died. Albany police arrested Ellis at the scene. criminal sexual act, prosecutor­s say. At the time, Abdalla was a soccer coach to the minor, officials said. He must register as a sex offender upon his release.
