Allen, Scott Vanderford
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Scott Vanderford Allen, 50, passed away in Florida on October 12, 2021, from complications of COVID-19 pneumonia, with his loving fiancee Christine by his side.
The cherished son of Ronald and Susan Briscoe Allen of Clifton Park, Scott was born on August 19, 1971, in New York. An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Scott was an excellent student and athlete. Scott graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1989 and went on to study accounting at Siena College in Loudonville, graduating with the class of 1993.
Scott began his career in tax accounting in Albany, and later moved to Charlotte, N.C. In 2011, he moved to Palm Beach Gardens to continue his tax accounting career. Scott was well-known and respected in the tax accounting community. Scott learned to play golf at a young age at Northway Heights, now Eagle Crest Golf Club, and furthered his love of the game at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens with his fiancee Christine. While in Charlotte, Scott became a Carolina Panthers football fan and continued his love for the team even after moving to Florida. Scott was all about work-hard, play-hard.
Survivors include his longtime partner, best friend, and fiancee, Christine Kwasny; and his parents, Ronald and Susan Briscoe Allen, of Clifton Park. Scott is also survived by his sisters, Kim (Mark) Smith of Clifton Park, and Stacy (Jeff) Corbo of Chelmsford, Mass., and leaves behind nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A memorial in celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Thursday, October 21, at the Eagle Crest Golf Club Banquet Facility and Tavern, 1004 Rt 146A, Clifton Park, from 4-7 p.m., with testimonials starting at 6 p.m.
