Shenendehowa hockey coach Juan de la Rocha earned his 300th career victory thanks to a 3-0 Plainsmen win over Bethlehem on Wednesday in a Capital District High School Hockey League game at Clifton Park Arena.

Unfortunately for coach de la Rocha, he was unable to attend the game due to an illness, but, yes, it still counts toward his total.

The Plainsmen scored three goals in the second period to break the deadlock and pick up the win to move to 7-1-1 in league play.

Bethlehem suffered its first CDHSHL loss of the year to drop to 6-1-1.

Girls’ basketball: Colonie outscored Burnt Hills 22-10 in the third quarter to rally for a 53-40 win in a Suburban Council contest at Burnt Hills. The Garnet Raiders trailed 21-18 at halftime before Jayla Tyler scored 10 of her game-high 19 points in the third to help Colonie grab the victory. Carlie Rzeszotarski had 13 points to lead the Spartans.

Wrestling: Ballston Spa rebounded from its firstround loss in the Section II Division I Duals with a 4027 victory over Bethlehem in a Suburban match. Mason Insogna (110 pounds), Tristan Hinchcliff (118), Peter Siracuse (152), Conner Holt (170) and Darren Insogna (215) all provided the Spartans with pinfall victories. Ballston Spa was eliminated by Shaker 34-31 on Tuesday in the first round of the duals tournament.
