Haight, Scotties rally over Eagles

Ballston Spa rallied past Bethlehem 55-53 on Friday in a Suburban Council boys’ basketball contest at Bethlehem.

The Scotties trailed 41-37 entering the final quarter but outscored the Eagles 18-12 in the fourth to escape with the road victory.

Andrew Haight scored a game-high 23 points, including four three-pointers, and Nick Verdile added 12 to lead Ballston Spa.

Caden Bernardo had 14 points for Bethlehem.

More boys’ basketball: James Oliver scored 17 points and Logan Hardt added 15 to spark Lansingbur­gh to a 68-51 Colonial Council win over Mohonasen. Hardt and Oliver combined for 10 points in the second quarter when the Knights outscored Mohonasen 23-9 to take a 31-18 lead into halftime . ... Alex Doin knocked down four 3pointers and finished with 16 points as Burnt Hills topped Schenectad­y 71-48 in a Suburban Council game.

Girls’ basketball: Voorheesvi­lle held off visiting Ravena 58-51 in a Colonial Council game. The Blackbirds outscored Ravena 17-11 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. Mia Carmody scored 14 points and Reese Hoenig added 13 points to lead Voorheesvi­lle. Hannah Vanderzee had 21 points for Ravena . ...

Alyssa Wayman scored 31 points to lead Middleburg­h to a 64-41 win over Canajohari­e in a Western Athletic Conference contest. ... Bella Franchi had 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lift Colonie over Niskayuna 52-40 in a Suburban Council game. Macie Trimarchi had a game-high 18 points for Colonie. Boys’ ice hockey: Mac Frazier had a goal and an assist to help Albany Academy top Saratoga Springs 3-1. Max Flik and Nick Demarco scored the other goals for the Cadets. Matt Rissetto had the lone Blue Streaks’ goal.
