Lush, green lawns come at too high a price

Like Chaim Picker in his letter “Lawn chemicals affect more than treated lawn,” April 23, which expressed concerns about the overuse and dangers of lawn chemicals, I share the belief that this is a growing problem. The little yellow warning signs after chemical applications certainly suggest that these chemicals may be harmful. I think that it is reasonable to conclude that many of these chemicals drain into our water supply.
